Context: dang is the moderator of a forum called Hacker News (HN) and I believe has been for a while. HN is one of the forums I visit regularly, as I really appreciate the type of conversation that occurs there. From what I hear, dang is one of the main reasons that such conversation continues to flourish, for the way he moderates the community, enforcing the guidelines. This comment and some of the ones in the thread below it reveal some techniques he uses to maintain decorum and curious conversation.
